ROUTING WIZARD
The routing wizard will present you with a number of options for creating your new route. Select your option using the radio button and click ‘Next >’

Create a route by selecting a
starting and ending location (
The A-to-B method of planning is a new addition for Canal Planner version 7. Instead of building up your route by specifying each leg of the journey, you simply select your starting location, any number of via locations, and your finishing location and Canal Planner will calculate the quickest route between the two locations. How far can I get
Another new addition to Canal Planner is the introduction of a third method of planning which we have called ‘How far’. In this method you specify a starting location and enter details of how many days you want your trip to last, and how many days per day you will be traveling. The how far route planner with then suggest up to 10 possible routes for you to take. See Planning a How Far Can I Get Route
Create a
Selecting this option will allow you to build your new route by specifying each leg of the journey and building up your route. This is similar (although it has been much enhanced) to the method of planning a route which you would have been used to in Canal Planner 6. See Planning a Manual Route
