Zoom Area Using the left mouse button, you can draw out a rectangle over part of the map – the map will zoom into the area of the rectangle. The smaller the rectangle the more you will zoom in. Also please note that the map will be stretched to the boundaries of the rectangle, therefore you should attempt to draw out the rectangle in proportions with the map.
Pan Map Selecting this option and holding down the left mouse button will enable you to move around the map. Also please note that you can also click on the bars which surround the map, to pan the map in that direction.
Show Location Selecting this option will identify the nearest location to your mouse button (which is on the waterway) and will highlight this in a small hover box. Clicking the left mouse button will highlight the location on the map until the map is reset. It is advised that you highlight locations sparingly as they can easily make the map look crowded.

Google Map

The Google Map button will load up the route in a Google map screen. In order for the Google Map button to be enabled, you must have an Internet connection. This feature will not work without an Internet connection.

Please note that if you have planned a long route it may take several minutes before the map loads up in the Google mapping interface.

You can use the Google maps control to zoom in, zoom out and pan the map. Also you can select whether you want the map view, satellite or hybrid mode (a mixture of map and satellite).

Locations are represented by green icons on the Google map. You will notice that there are also yellow (representing a pub/restaurant) icons and blue (representing a water point) icons. Clicking these icons will open up a window which will display the location name, features for the location and photo if available.
