IMAGE LIBRARY

The image library is where you will be able to add new photos to each location. Any photos in the database which have been linked to the location will appear as thumbnails in the left hand column. Clicking a thumbnail will display the picture in the right hand pane.

The storing of images has been improved from previous version of Canal Planner in the following ways:

• Photos can be stored using any filename which you choose – there is no need (unless you want to) to stick to the Canal Planner 6 naming convention
• You can browse to the photos on your digital camera, memory card etc and a copy of the photo will be included into the Canal Planner application
• When adding a photo, you may now add a caption. This allows you to personalise your added photos.

Default Image

One photo per location can be defined as the ‘Default Photo’. The default photo can be identified by the blue background behind the thumbnail.

In order to change the ‘default photo’, select the photo which you wish to be the new default photo. Click the ‘set as default’ option. This option will only be available to you when you are nit clicking on the current default location.

Remove Image

Highlighting a thumbnail and clicking 'Remove' will remove this image from the location.

Add Image

Clicking the ‘Add image’ button will open up the ‘Add Image’ dialogue box. Here you can:

• Enter the title for the image
• Browse to the image location, using the browse button.

Once you have added the above information, clicking ‘Add Image’ will add the photo to the location.
