A gazetteer enables you to personalise Canal Planner by storing additional information about the places where you visit and moor-up at. 

The gazetteer window lists all gazetteers which have been added by the user. Double clicking a gazetteer will open up the full gazetteer details in a new window.

Gazetteers are also highlighted on the Route Summary screen by having a 'G' in the gazetteer column, which if clicked loads up the gazetteer information

Canal Planner 7 enables you to store the information in the following categories

• Date
• Author
• Personal Comment 1
• Personal Comment 2
• General Description
• Shopping
• Pubs/Clubs
• Other Facilities
• Historical
• Navigation & Mooring
• Buildings

 Once you have entered your information, clicking Save will store this information in the database.
