AMEND CANAL FILE

The ‘amend canal file’ function enables you to view the locations on each waterway and make changed to the files. Please note, you should only make changes if you are 100% sure of the accuracy of the new data.

To edit a location details, you select the location from the list of locations and then click ‘Edit’. The window will expand to reveal the items which can be edited. Once you have made your changes, click Save.

If you are updating distances of the locations, it would probably be better to report the change and we will investigate the proposed change and if accurate, we will update the master database and distribute the changes using Update Wizard .

Please note, that if you want to add your own locations, you should use Add Location on the References menu, rather than amending the existing locations.
