ADD LOCATION

The add location screen is where you can add your own custom locations (such as where your boat is moored). This function also allows you to Import locations which you have added to the database in Version 6.

New

To add a new location, click the ‘New’ button. Then, using the 3 tabs on the right hand screen (position, features & main picture) configure the details for the new location

Please ensure that you click ‘Save’ once you have completed all the information about the location.

Import

To import locations from your previous version of Canal Planner click the ‘Import’ button. You will be presented with a browse window, using which you will need to locate your version 6 database. This will be located in a folder called \data which will be a folder in the Canal Planner installation directory (this will vary depending on options chosen when installing Canal Planner 6).

The import routine will then search through your Canal Planner 6 database and find any locations which were custom added. You will receive a status box confirming the list of locations found. If you wish to import these click Ok. If you don’t then click Cancel.
