ACTIVATING CANAL PLANNER
The activation process for Canal Planner can be done either online or offline. If you have an Internet connection, then we strongly recommend that you enable this prior to registering Canal Planner, and perform an online activation, as this will also setup your free subscription for 3 months of updates.
To activate Canal Planner, you simply need to open the application using the new option in your Start | All Programs menu.
When you open Canal Planner, and it has not been activated you will be presented with the option to go into Trial mode or to activate. If you have license codes you should choose the 'Activate' option. If you are wanting to trial the software then click 'Continue'. You are able to try the software for free for 14 days. See Trial Version for more information.

Clicking Activate will prompt the following screen which confirms that you have your license codes (activation code and key code). Click Continue, if you have the required codes.

Step 1
You will be presented with the following screen when you first register for Canal Planner.

Complete your details as fully as possible (as these details will be linked to your subscription and will enable us to contact you when your subscription is nearing the expiration date), and click 'Next'
Step 2
You will be shown the end user license agreement for the use of Canal Planner. Please read through this and tick the box confirming that you are in agreement. Once this box has been ticked, the Next button will be enabled. Click this to move to step 3.

Step 3
You will be shown our privacy policy. Please read through this. You are fully within your rights not to agree for your details to be held by INfoCLub, however we strongly urge you to allow us to hold your details on our system as this enables us to support you and your applications better and enables us to alert you when your subscription is near its expiration date. If you have Internet access available, please ensure you enable it at this point. If you have Internet access go to 'Step 4 - Internet Enabled', if you don't, go to 'Step 4 - No Internet connection'

Step 4 - Internet Enabled
The final step of activation, is to input your activation and key codes. You will find these details on the inside of your CD case, or you will have received these by email when you purchased the license codes. If you have ordered license codes online but haven't received an email containing the codes, please contact us quoting your order reference.

Enter these into the appropriate boxes and click Activate.
Assuming you have entered a valid set of
details, you will be presented with a confirmation of successful
activation. If the details are incorrect for any reason, then you will

Step 4 - No Internet Connection
If you are registering without an Internet Connection, then you will be presented with the following screen.

* Unlock code
Unlock Code
An unlock code is a code which is specific to the machine on which Canal Planner is being installed. In order to get an unlock code, you need to contact Canal Planner Support on support@canalplanner.com, or 0845 3550955, and you will need to quote your Activation code, Key Code and Reference code.
We apologise that it is necessary to make contact with Canal Planner in order to activate the software offline, however this is a necessary security precaution in order to prevent software piracy. We hope you understand that this is necessary.
