PLANNING AN A TO
Step 1

Step 2 - Select Starting Location
Step 2 requires you to choose a
starting location. You can select
this location in one of 3 ways.
Once you have selected a location, clicking ‘Next >’ will take you to the next step.

Step 3 - Select Via Location(s)
Step 3 allows you to choose a number of via locations through which you want to pass on your journey.
Please see Using A-to-B Route Wizard to Plan a Ring for more information on how via points can be used to create a ring.
You do not have to specify any Via locations if you don't want to - this step is optional.
If you choose more than one Via location, you can arrange the order through which you should travel through these by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.

When clicking on 'Add Via Location...' button, you will be presented with a similar screen to that which you use to enter the start and finish locations.

Step 4 - Select Finishing Location
Step 4 is where you specify the finishing location of the route. If you have used via locations, then the start and finish locations, can be the same location. This technique would be employed when planning a ring. Alternatively you can plan to the furthest point which you wish to travel to, and by ticking the option 'Return to start point?', the route will be reversed and added to the overall route, so you end up with a complete route starting and finishing at the same location.

Step 5
In step 5 the computer is calculating the quickest route between the two chosen locations.
This step may take some time depending on the complexity of the route.
When the route calculations are complete, you will be promoted to click ‘Next >’ to move onto Step 6

Step 6
Step 6 will display a brief
summary of the calculated route, including number of junctions, total miles,
total locks and total time.
Clicking Finish will take you to the Route Summary screen for this route.
